Todd Humphries

Opened in June, 2011, the Kitchen Door is the latest offering from Chef Todd Humphries and Co-Founder Richard Miyashiro. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Humphries's lauded career started with the acclaimed restaurants Quilted Giraffe in New York City, followed by the Peninsula Hotel, and the restaurant Lespinasse in the St. Regis Hotel. In 1993, Humphries moved to San Francisco to become the Executive Chef of the prestigious four-star reviewed Campton Place Hotel dining room, an AAA Five Diamond Award recipient. Humphries then served as the Executive Chef of the Culinary Institute of America Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant before opening the Michelin starred Martini House Restaurant in St. Helena as Chef/Partner with Miyashiro.

Richard Miyashiro

With 40 plus years of industry experience, Miyashiro has worked in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Co-founder of the Pat Kuleto Restaurant Development & Management Group of restaurants that included; Boulevard, Farallon, Jardiniere, the Martini House, authored the development models for Nick’s Cove & Cottages and Land & Sea LLC, comprising of Waterbar and Epic Steak restaurants. Miyashiro directed the openings of Hakkasan in San Francisco and Beverly Hills as New Projects Operations Director for the West Coast. Miyashiro has also held the positions of Vice President of Specialty Restaurants for the Puccini Group and President & Chief Executive Officer for the Left Bank Brasserie and LB Steak restaurant group. Most recently Miyashiro held the position of Chief Operating Officer for the China Live development.


Tim Seberson
General Manager and Managing Partner

As General Manager and Managing Partner of Kitchen Door, Tim Seberson orchestrated the opening of the restaurant and oversees the day-to-day operations. Widely acclaimed for his deft front-of-house management at some of the Bay Area’s most prominent restaurants, Seberson joined his Martini House cohorts Humphries and Miyashiro at the Kitchen Door. Prior to the Martini House, he oversaw the food and beverage department of COPIA, The Center for Food, Wine and the Arts, on behalf of the Patina Restaurant Group. Seberson also served as the General Manager at Julia’s Kitchen, the namesake restaurant of Julia Child. Seberson has also worked at renowned San Francisco restaurants Postrio’s and Perry’s on Union Street.
